Rite Aid realizes that trading partners are faced with multiple requirements for the exchange of electronic transactions. In order to streamline the process and provide timely response in the trading of transactions, Rite Aid and OpenText initiated an alliance program to develop and implement select solutions to support the Rite Aid EDI/B2B Program. The end goal is greater interoperability, business process support, real-time interactions, and more agile and secure transactions.
All OpenText hosted and network-based products are built on a cloud-based integration platform―the OpenText™ Trading Grid™. The Grid is the world’s largest electronic business community and enables the real-time flow of information between businesses regardless of technical capability, standards preference, spoken language or geographic location. The following OpenText solutions are being developed and implemented to complement our program:
OpenText™ Active Intelligence is designed to improve the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of electronic transactions. This service enables proactive tracking of “in-flight” transactions and processes against business and compliance rules. Data quality errors associated with order fulfillment, shipping and payment are identified in real time, and can be logged or quarantined.
OpenText™ Active Community offers onboarding services and facilitates easier B2B collaboration between customers and suppliers. This service provides the ability to track business partners’ activity as they move through multiple phases of implementation.
OpenText™ Active Orders provides more visibility into the supply chain. It allows business partners to automate the forecast-to-settlement process. Active Orders supports purchase orders, invoices, ASNs and the ability to monitor the status of orders throughout the procure-to-pay lifecycle including fulfillment, transportation and invoicing.
OpenText™ Trading Grid™ Messaging Service / AS2 Services allows the secure exchange of all business and supply chain transactions using EDI or XML standards. No matter which protocol, Trading Grid masks the complexities of diverse Internet communication standards such as AS2, AS3, SFTP, FTPS.
Regardless of budget, expertise and resource limitations, OpenText GXS offers a number of options for small- and medium-sized businesses to conduct e-commerce easily and efficiently:
OpenText™ Intelligent Web Forms enables suppliers and customers to send, receive, turn around, create and manage B2B transactions using a secure web site. With Intelligent Web Forms, there is no software to license or install. Any user with a PC and a web browser can use the web forms with minimal training.
Microsoft Excel Adapter, known as Trading Grid for Excel, allows users to create electronic documents such as purchase orders or invoices with Microsoft Excel. This is an easy and inexpensive way for business partners to send or receive electronic purchase orders and invoices.
